Took delivery of my 06 Cayenne S in Leipzig yesterday and

toured the factory. About 40 % of the cars were facelift cars that will be shown to the press after december 5. The ne wfront doe not really appeal to me, ok there are some changes but it is not as dramatic as it was for example after the first 3 years on the 996. The rear end lookms a bit nicer, teh downside to me would be the exhaust tips that are in the bumper and stick out about an inch. Definitely a good cghance to get yout pants dirty if you load the trunk and come from the side. Most significant are the taillights that have a white stripe in the middle of the taillights. From what I saw interiiorwise changed are minor to none.

enginewise we will see 4.8 öliter displacement with 380 hp on the S and 500 on the Turbo, the V6 will get close to 300. The hybrid version seems to be only a little over a year away. All engines will have direct injection technique.

Nontheless with my present knowledge I do not regret that I have just gotten the present S the car is just very refined now compared to my 03.
