...Brian Geraghty, one of the actors in "Hurt Locker" (nominated for best picture) lives diagonally across the road from me and just got into "his Limo" ...I gave him a BIG thumbs up, and told him to put a hurtin' on them...Nice young fella...and when he's not acting he is SURFIN'...I have helped him with his cars, and has lent a hand to help me with a P-car problem...Go Brian Go ! ...and you should see some of his girlfriends...Elin Woods look-a-likes

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Iraq War drama ``The Hurt Locker'' won best picture and five other prizes Sunday at the Academy Awards, its haul including best director for Kathryn Bigelow.
Bigelow is the first woman in the 82-year history of the Oscars to earn Hollywood's top prize for filmmakers.
``There's no other way to describe it. It's the moment of a lifetime,'' Bigelow said. ``It's so extraordinary to be in the company of my fellow nominees, such powerful filmmakers, who have inspired me and I have admired, some of them for decades.''
Among those Bigelow and ``The Hurt Locker'' beat are ex-husband James Cameron and his sci-fi spectacle ``Avatar.'' Bigelow and Cameron were married from 1989-91. ***** and about a year ago I asked Brian WHERE YOU BEEN MAN, told me he was in the middle east shootin' a war movie....I asked what kind of budget and who was in it...his reply...Very little money and very little cast...I wished him the customary good luck and we chugged a cold one ! Bravo !!!

IED disposal unit (roadside bombs) you should see the movie...small budget, mostly unknown actors...a REAL SLEEPER for it to win 6 Awards...and it was fun to watch and see Brian at the Awards ceremony with his reactions, he's a REAL nice respectful fella...
punch up The Hurt Locker on IMDB
