I have a 1972 911T Coupe (91,000 original miles), Sepia Brown, Sport Seats, S Options. I am the 3rd owner and have had it for 13 years. It sleeps in the garage while my 2000 996 C2 Coupe stays outside! (See attachment)

Nice car! How do you compare it to your 996? The things I like better about my 73S than my 02 C2:
Manual steering - very direct feeling Lower weight (2,350 vs. 3200 lbs) Handling balance is more fun (less understeer) Sound and low-maintenance of air-cooled engine More headroom (no sunroof)

Yes, all of those things you mentioned, but mostly the Sepia Brown color
Actually I autocrossed this car for several years in the early 90's and found, as most early 911 owners know, that a 2400 pound 1972 911T with only 140 horsepower generally outperforms later model 911's with 200-265 horsepower, except on very wide-open courses.
Enjoy,

it surely is. I really like the 87-89 911s. Nice 3.2 motor and G50 gearbox together with a nice light chassis. I guess any true 911 (pre-964) is "Classic" at this point - unless anyone would argue that 964's are classic now too? Of course, stuff older than 911s are classic too (356, 550, etc).

I have a 1973 911T (with MFI). It appears to have all the S-trim, which is not listed on the Kardex, unless it is part of "Canadian Equipment". Also has the Front Spoiler and light alloy wheels. The 'negative' Porsche decal and Light Ivory paint have gone over time. It's 'Lazer Red' now.

I saw a 996 and an '88 911 side by side today at a dealership. It is absolutely amazing how much larger the cars have gotten over the years... boggles the mind

'95 993RS 3,8 isn't exactly a classic.But i hope it will be...
The Porsche i desire most is the '78 935 with Martini decals, so if you got one, i'll buy it...
If you don't have a '78 935 i could do with a '88-'89 959...
