Turbo 17mm Wheel Spacers?
      #123538 - 08/10/06 11:46 PM

According to my Turbo Manual, Page 238, 17mm wheel spacers can be added to the rear wheels. The added appearence fcator is obvious but is anyone using them and has anything to say about the change in the handling characteristics?

TIA

Ed,

I've never tried them but would adding them cause any issues with PSM (causing it to engage earlier or more often)?

I have no idea. I assume it wouldn't have any serious effects as it is listed in the manual under acceptable summer tire/wheel combinations.

But that was why I was asking if anyone has tried the 17mm spacers.

I also have the ceramic brakes and I'm not sure the spacers are compatible with those hubs.

Looks great. I assume the modified suspension is required to keep the front fenders from hitting down on the tires with the 17mm spacers on the front as well as the rear.

Well that's 14mm front & rear but it's pretty hard to see 3mm.
Suspension.....she's low but fairly tight so not alot of travel....fender prep was needed for the bling 19s.....but no clearance issues with the 8J/11J 18 hollows.
Suspension is 2nd generation H&R coil-overs, H&R anti-sways, S-Car-Go DLs.
